# The Inspiration Behind $PEPAY

Our inspiration stems from the innovative work of $JAY/@Jaypeggers. Jake, the founder of $JAY, has truly created a genius system to guarantee a token's pegged value can only increase, as measured in another token. By adopting and adapting their tested and audited tokenomics/framework, we aim to leverage their successful formula while adding our unique spin with the $PEPE backing. We believe this synthesis will offer a fresh perspective and an exciting opportunity for the crypto community.
